SLU-PP-332 is understood to act as a pan agonist of the estrogen-related receptors, activating the ERR/PGC-1α transcriptional programme that governs mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative metabolism. In rodent studies this was associated with greater endurance and increased fat oxidation. The evidence is entirely preclinical, and no human trials establish these effects.
